There was just one game tonight in the division, which was held between the Boston Bruins and the Philidelphia Flyers at T.D. Garden in Boston. My analysis of this one below.

FLYERS @ BRUINS

The Flyers and Bruins were set to face off in Boston to begin a home-and-home series which would sure be entertaining. Philly was coming off a shootout loss in Long Island and the Bruins were coming off a big 7-5 win at home against Pittsburgh on Saturday. The Bruins and Flyers traded chances and goals, forcing this one to overtime after a highly-contested game. The two continued to trade chances in the extra frame, and eventually, Philidelphia capitalized on a Boston mistake. Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron fell down on with a Flyer oncoming, which gave up a goal and the game. Goaltender Brian Elliot made 27 saves on 29 shots against in a big 3-2 win for Philidelphia. The win allows the Flyers to begin their push to climb back into the playoff picture in the East.

Scoring:

Flyers: Travis Konecny, Sean Couturier, Travis Sanheim (O.T. Winner).

Bruins: Patrice Bergeron, Karson Kuhlman.
