Three games tonight in the division, all of which would turn out to be good ones. The Isles hosted the Rangers, the Penguins traveled to New Jersey, and Washington visited Buffalo for a date with the Sabers. My analysis of each below.

RANGERS @ ISLANDERS
Isles lose rare game, Rangers bounce back after loss to Pittsburgh in 4-1 road win.
Scoring and Goaltending:
Rangers: Alexis Lafreniere (7), Colin Blackwell (12), K'Andre Miller (4), Mika Zibanejad (14). Goaltending: Alexander Georgiev, allowed one goal on 32 shots.
Islanders: Andy Greene (1). Goaltending: Semyon Varlamov, allowed 3 goals on 35 shots.
CAPITALS @ SABERS
Caps beat Sabers, defense continues its struggles for Washington in 4-3 win.
Scoring and Goaltending:
Capitals: Brendan Dillion (2), Alex Ovechkin (21), Justin Shultz (3), Jakub Vrana (11). Goaltending: Vitec Vanecek, allowed 3 goals on 33 shots.
Sabers: Tage Thompson (4), Casey Mittelstadt (5). Goaltending: Dustin Tokarski, allowed 4 goals on 33 shots.
PENGUINS @ DEVILS
Pittsburgh beats New Jersey for only second time this season, completes back-to-back set with two wins in 6-4 thriller.
Scoring and Goaltending:
Penguins: Jared McCann (11 - PPG), Brian Dumoulin (2), Colton Sceviour (3), Bryan Rust (15 - PPG, 16 EN), Sidney Crosby (16). Goaltending: Casey DeSmith, allowed 4 goals on 30 shots.
Devils: Miles Wood (12,13), Jack Hughes (9), Jesper Boqvist (2). Goaltending: Mackenzie Blackwood, allowed 5 goals on 26 shots.
