There were two games on tap on inner division on Sunday, both of which included good teams. The New Jersey Devils had a date with Washington at Capital One Arena, while the Flyers and Bruins took their battle outdoors to Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Here's the analysis from each game.

DEVILS @ CAPITALS

The Caps were looking to right the ship in their home game against the Devils, while New Jersey was trying to make Washington even more frustrated with their situation. The Devils started well, as Jack Hughes scored another goal, and they built themselves a 2-1 lead through two periods. The Caps wouldn't let their situation slide though, as they got three quick goals in the third period, and won this one 4-2. The Caps got the two points despite the poor start, and New Jersey let the lead they through two periods slip. This was rare for the Devils, as they had been hot lately. Craig Anderson got the win for Washington in goal, as an unknown ailment caused Vitec Vanecek to be unable to start for this game.

Scoring:

1st Period - New Jersey: Andres Johnsson, 3rd of the season (PPG).

2nd Period - New Jersey: Jack Hughes, 4th of the season (Even Strength), Washington: T.J. Oshie, 3rd of the season (PPG).

3rd Period - Washington: John Carlson, 5th of the season (Even Strength), T.J. Oshie, 4th of the season (PPG), Alex Ovechkin, 6th of the season (PPG). New Jersey: Nikita Gusev, 1st of the season (Even Strength).

BRUINS vs. FLYERS

The Flyers and Bruins took this one outside to the scenic views of Lake Tahoe, in northern Nevada. The game featured a lot of action early, as each team got a pair of goals. The Bruins would chase Flyers goalie Carter Hart in the second period, and rout Philidelphia by a score of 7-3. David Pasternak netted a hattrick for Boston, as he continues to light up the NHL and be one of the better players in the league.

Scoring:

1st Period - Boston: David Pasternak, 7th of the season (Even Strength), Charlie McAvoy, 2nd of the season (Even Strength). Flyers: Joel Farabee, 8th of the season (Even Strength), Sean Couturier, 3rd of the season (Even Strength).

2nd Period - Boston: David Pasternak, 8th of the season (Even Strength), Charlie Coyle, 3rd of the season (Even Strength), Trent Fredric, 1st NHL goal (Even Strength), Nick Ritchie, 6th of the season (PPG).

3rd Period - Flyers: James Van Riemsdyk, 8th of the season (PPG). Boston: David Pasternak, 9th of the season (Even Strength, Hattrick)
