There was only one game in action tonight, and that game featured the New Jersey Devils and the Philadelphia Flyers in Philly. The Devils were coming off a 3-game mini-series with the Penguins in which they won 2/3, and played well for the majority of it. The Flyers had been struggling recently coming in, and they needed to right the ship fast. My analysis of this one below.

DEVILS @ FLYERS
The Flyers and Devils battled it out here tonight, in what would turn out to be a very close game. The Devils prevailed, winning this one 4-3. The Flyers pushed hard in the third period after being down 4-1 coming into the final frame, but it wasn't enough to earn them a win here tonight. The Flyers have now lost 6 of their last 8 games, which can be largely attributed to the goaltending issues with Carter Hart and Brian Elliot. The Flyers defense has also been a problem, with their GAA per game around 3. The Devils, on the other hand, have won 4 of their last 5 games, with their goaltending improving drastically lately. Carter Hart allowed 4 goals on 32 shots for the Flyers, while Mackenzie Blackwood allowed 3 goals on 33 shots for New Jersey.
Scoring:
Devils: Michael McLeod (4), Kyle Palmieri (6-PPG), Yegor Sharongovich (7), Travis Zajac (4).
Flyers: Joel Farabee (14-PPG), Sean Couturier (7,8).
