Happy Birthday 87 - August 7th

Today is Sidney Crosby's 34th Birthday, and I want to acknowledge the importance of that statement. It is such a great honor to watch Sid play every year, and I want to take a minute and explain just how important of a player he is to the game.

Sidney Crosby has been a point-per-game player in each of his 16 seasons in the NHL. Take a minute to think about how special that really is... it means he has at least 1 point per game he plays in each season he's been in the NHL, which is insanity. Sid is a generational talent, and will no doubt have his number retired to the rafters of PPG Paints Arena when he hangs up his jersey. If there's anyone I model my game after (or at least try to) it would be Sid. After all, he is the reason I started playing hockey in the first place. You're my role model 87, and I know there are 1000's others out there who feel the same way. I can't wait to continue to watch you dominate the league, and before you're done how about bringing one more cup to Pittsburgh eh? Watching the rivalry you've built with Ovi and the Caps is my favorite part of every season, especially because you dominate in every game against them. Happy Birthday, Goat, the 2021 season is just around the corner.
